CALLUM WEMYSS (Soprano Sax) has been playing saxophone for nearly 20 years. He was Aberdeen’s Young Musician of the Year in 2010 and won outstanding soloist at the Scottish Concert Band Festival in 2011. He now plays in That Swing Sensation regularly. Prior to playing in the Hume Callum has five years of saxophone quartet experience playing in the Hazlehead Saxophone Quartet.
GAYNOR BARADELL (Alto Sax) is a freelance composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Glasgow since 2009. She plays and records for bands and orchestras across the UK and teaches instrumental and theory lessons to adult learners.
Composing and arranging for a wide variety of ensembles has led to several commissions from organisations in Scotland, England, The Netherlands and Denmark, and being appointed Making Music UK’s ‘Scottish Composer 2017-2018’. Gaynor is an early years’ pre-school music specialist and is currently writing a book of music for infants, in collaboration with illustrator Rosie Cunningham (Glasgow School of Art).
